Notes: After 13 years with my trusty Ibanez RG being my main guitar for drop-tuned "Linkin Park-ish" stuff, I decided it was time to upgrade.

Special Features: PRS locking tuners (March 2021-present) I love the new neck, it plays really nice, and I even have a 22nd fret now! I'll be upgrading the electronics in this guitar at some point in the future as well, but for now I'm just happy to have it in a usable state again. I decided to go all-in on upgrading this guitar no matter how expensive it ended up being compared to its original value, so I bought an all-rosewood American Strat replacement neck in the spring of 2021, and fitted it with Fender's drop-in locking tuners. Over time, this guitar developed some issues with buzzing/fretting out at the first few frets because of excessive back bow in the neck, and it eventually got to the point that I had loosened the truss rod as far as it would go, and it still wasn't enough to give the neck any relief. In the spring of 2017, I swapped out the stock machine heads for locking Schaller tuners, and that's the state the guitar stayed in for the next four years. This makes changing strings a breeze, and IĬan switch tunings easily when I need to as well. Trick in the back cavity), to a completely locked-down bridge thatįunctions like a hardtail. New and hardly played it! I got it for $200 less than what a new Strat

Special Features: Tremol-No modification w/custom-cut back plate (April 2013-present), Schaller locking tuners (April 2017-March 2021), Fender American Professional solid rosewood neck (March 2021-present), Fender locking tuners (March 2021-present) In late 2018, I swapped the knobs on this guitar for the ones from my Guild X-82 Nova (see below), they're much easier to grip and I don't use the Guild much anyway, so it was a nice quality-of-life upgrade.

"treble bleed" mod at the same time - this prevents the loss of high-endįrequencies when playing with the volume knob partially turned down. Pickup out for a Custombucker in February of 2016, and also did a Pounds, but it sure doesn't sound "thin!" I swapped the stock 496R neck This guitar - EVERYONE who has ever picked it up has told me that it's Yellow-looking, there are dings and scratches all over the thing, the output jack was replaced a few years after I got it, and I had to put extra shielding in the body cavity to cut down on crackling noises caused by static buildup (common on Gibsons - the nitrocellulose finishes on their guitars are notorious for being very static-y!).

Some wear and tear on it, the pickguard's starting to get pretty This has been my #1 guitar since I acquired it. Special Features: Gibson Custombucker neck pickup (February 2016-present), treble bleed modification (February 2016-present), non-original knobs (November 2018-present)
